Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are small communities within Ripple employees open to anyone that provide resources and community. Safiya Walker is a Business Development Associate at Ripple, the co-lead of the ERG Black at Ripple, and a former Track and Field athlete from Brown University.

She’s found that she’s been able to lean on her experience as an competitive athlete to find success within her career at Ripple including helping start the ERG. For Walker, the group provides an opportunity to identify opportunities for Black employees to be visible throughout the organization, create an open environment where Black experiences, thoughts and ideas can be shared, and ensure Ripple is positively engaged in Black communities.
